Introduction

The object of the present document is the definition of the terms and conditions under which SOCRATES, hereinafter the PUBLISHER, is to provide access for users to the CforCSR© site and the services available thereupon, and the manner in which users are to access the site and use its services.

PURPOSES OF THE SITE

The objectives of the CforCSR© site are:

  • To raise awareness and instruct higher education students in Corporate Social Responsibility;
  • To certify the level of knowledge of students of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Information collected is subject to data processing, which is intended to assess the level of knowledge and acquisition of the principles of CSR. This processing is undertaken for the purposes of instruction and certification. The recipient of data is the project manager of the school, who will assume sole responsibility for their distribution.

The registered students will have access to their results and their certificate, the distribution of which will be their personal responsibility.

PROTECTION, ACCESS, AND PROCESSING OF DATA

Data are processed on an individual and consolidated basis.

In accordance with Law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, amended and known as the French Data Protection Act, and Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 known as the General Data Protection Regulation (together forming “Applicable Law for Data Protection”), you have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information. For legitimate reasons, you may also object to the processing of personal data.

The person responsible for data processing is the President of the University of Strasbourg. The purpose of this processing is the evaluation and training of students at EM Strasbourg Business School. Personal data will be hosted by the firm SOCRATES, on the facilities of O2 SWITCH in France, for a term of 5 years. A right of access and rectification can be exercised by contacting contact@cforcsr.com.

Data are stored for the entire duration of the contract and for 2 years following the end of the commercial dealings.

AUTHORIZATION TO PROCESS DATA

The PUBLISHER is authorized by EM Strasbourg Business School to collect and process data gathered on the CforCSR site within the scope of executing the contract between the PUBLISHER and EM Strasbourg Business School.

The person responsible for data processing remains the CLIENT (EM Strasbourg Business School), who mandates the firm SOCRATES to collect and process the data and who communicates processing instructions to SOCRATES. The only personal data communicated by the CLIENT are e-mail addresses, last names, and first names, which are transmitted by EM Strasbourg Business School to SOCRATES in order to register users to use the platform.

PASSWORD

Initiating the password linked to an account is the responsibility of the application user.

This password is known only by the owner of the account. Our technical support and our operating department for hosted services are not able to recover it. If a password is forgotten, it must be reset. Only the user and owner of the account is able to perform the reset by clicking on the link “Forgotten password.” The user will receive an internet link valid for 24 hours, via the e-mail address provided at the time of registration, enabling him or her to reset the password.

INFORMATION ON COOKIES

The publisher is entitled to use cookies in order to monitor your access and use of the CforCSR Platform, and for this purpose only.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The general structure of the CforCSR© site, and of its constituent texts, graphics, images, sound and video recordings, are the property of the publisher and EM Strasbourg Business School.

Any representation and/or reproduction and/or utilization, whether total or partial, of the content and services available on the CforCSR© site, by whatever means, without the prior and written authorization of SOCRATES and of EM Strasbourg Business School is strictly prohibited, and may constitute an act of piracy within the meaning of Articles L 335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.

" CforCSR©" is a trademark which has been jointly registered by SOCRATES and EM STRASBOURG BUSINESS SCHOOL. Any representation and/or reproduction and/or utilization of this trademark, whether total or partial, by whatever means, shall be totally prohibited.

HYPERTEXT LINKS

The CforCSR© site may contain hypertext links to other sites on the Internet. Links to these other resources will cause you to exit the CforCSR© site.

It is possible to create a link to the home page of this site without the express authorization of the PUBLISHER. No authorization or request for prior notification can be demanded by the publisher in respect of a site which wishes to create a link to the publisher’s site. However, this site should be displayed in a new browser window. The PUBLISHER, however, reserves the right to request the removal of a link if, in the opinion of the latter, the link concerned is not compliant with the object of the CforCSR© site.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PUBLISHER

Information and/or documents featured on this site and/or accessible via this site originate from sources which are considered as reliable.

However, this information and/or documents may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical errors.

The PUBLISHER reserves the right to correct any errors brought to its attention.

The information and/or documents on this site are subject to change at any time and may have been subject to updating. Specifically, they may have been subject to updating between the time of downloading and the time of consultation thereof by the user.

The use of information and/or documents available on this site is subject to the sole and exclusive responsibility of the user, who shall assume all potential consequences arising therefrom, such that no proceedings shall be initiated against the PUBLISHER on these grounds, and no redress shall be exercised against the latter.

Under no circumstances shall the PUBLISHER be held liable for any damages, of whatever type, arising from the interpretation or utilization of the information and/or documents available on this site.

ACCESS TO THE SITE

The Publisher shall endeavour to permit access to the site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except in the event of force majeure or circumstances which are beyond the control of the PUBLISHER, subject to any outages and maintenance operations which are necessary to the correct operation of the site and of services.

Consequently, the PUBLISHER cannot guarantee the permanent availability of the site and/or of services, the total reliability of transmissions and performance specifications, in terms of response times or quality.

In order to rectify these difficulties, technical assistance is available to the user by E-mail, using the following address: contact@cforcsr.com. The response time is 48 hours (on working days).

The liability of the Publisher shall not be enforceable in the event of impossibility of access to the site and/or the unavailability of services beyond this response time.

The PUBLISHER, moreover, may have occasion to suspend the site, or an element of services, at any time and without prior notice, with no resulting entitlement to compensation. The user acknowledges and accepts that the PUBLISHER shall not be liable for interruptions in service, and for any resulting consequences incurred by the user or by any third party.

RULES FOR THE USE OF THE INTERNET

The user hereby declares their acceptance of the characteristics and limitations of the Internet, specifically:

  • That data circulating on the Internet may be regulated, in respect of its use, or may be protected by rights of ownership.
  • That the user accepts sole responsibility for the use of any data which they may access, retrieve and transfer via the Internet.
  • That the PUBLISHER is acknowledged to have no means of controlling the content of services which are accessible on the Internet.

MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS OF USE

The PUBLISHER reserves the right to modify the present conditions of use, at any time and without prior notice, in the interests of their adaptation to developments on the site and/or in its operation.

APPLICABLE LAW

Both the present site, and the terms and conditions for the use thereof, are governed by French law, regardless of the location of use. In the event of any dispute, further to the failure of any attempt to achieve an amicable solution, the French courts shall exercise exclusive jurisdiction in respect of the dispute concerned.
